Introduces the Java 2 micro edition (J2ME) platform for developing wireless device applications with the mobile information device profile (MIDP) and the connected limited device configuration (CLDC). The resulting Java application is known as a MIDlet. The majority of the discussion focuses on the classes used to write MIDlets, such as display, screen, canvas, graphics, record store, and connector. A case study illustrates how to build a to-do list MIDlet. The final chapter addresses converting MIDlets to a Pilot resource file compatible with the Palm OS
